ABCD is a trapezium with parallel side CD and AB. MN is a line parallel to AB such that ar(ABMN)=ar(MNCD). If AB's length is 'a' and DC's is 'b', express MN in terms of 'a' and 'b'.

is the ans [ (b^2 +a^2)/2]^1/2(if a<b)
