Hi, I am an IIT 2008 Aspirant trying without any coaching whatsoever.......my problem is that i had completed certain amounts of Co Ordinate geometry during 11th but after december i did not study maths at all (for IIT i.e.......i studied only State Boards)..2 weeks back i bot S L Loney....but i am confused about how to use this book ? should i go on solving all the questions ? or should i solve selective ones ? i am as good as a person who has not done co ordinate geometry at all and is doin so for the first time......
* P.S i aim to complete a chapter from S L Loney and then do M L Khanna(n then other books) .....is this a good strategy considering i wont be revisin any of the chapters......ill just be doing it once but properly ??
Please Help Experts (And Others Who have themselves used or are usin the book)

Do Loney thoroughly. SL Loney is a clssic that has a rich collection of problems. First complete it thoroughly. After that when you move on to any other book, you will be able to solve most of the problems. Also, in almost all the books, you'll find problems of Loney. However, the writing style of Loney is a bit old fashioned and doesn't appeal to all people. If that is the case with you, I suggest you Use Arihant's Coordinate Geometry. Its a very good book and has excellent problems.

All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible. |
