It can now be revealed why Rohit 'Gudda' Bal has braved the rains and made frequent trips between Delhi and Mumbai the past few months. The designer extraordinaire is slated to open Mumbai Fashion Week on August 16 at the off site venue, Mahalaxmi Racecourse. "I've always loved the buzz in Mumbai. The energy is unmissable," he says about Maximum City.

To raise a toast to its 'live-it-up' spirit, Gudda will be showcasing his Winter/ Festive collection for a 'by invitation only' audience. True to his nature of keeping things undisclosed, he still hasn't told the organisers about the theme!

Incidentally, Bal showcased his collection as a finale designer 11 years ago along with Rina Dhaka and Manish Malhotra in 2001.
