Former American supermodel Cindy Crawford says she loves designing her own furniture.

The 45-year-old, who designs her own furniture line and is planning a new range of homeware later this year, admits she never imagined she would have such an interest in interiors but believes it suits her life perfectly, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I never set out to be the next Martha Stewart (American business magnate). But I love working with interiors, because it reflects who I am today...someone who cares about her home environment," she said.

Crawford currently lives in Malibu, California with husband Rande Gerber and children Presley, 10, and Kaia, 8, and admits her home life is much more fulfilling than modelling.

"I want us to be happy here. The kind of happiness that's not contingent on my looking good in a bikini," she said.
