Jewellery design contest held

The Ivanna Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) held a competition on making fashion accessories on Wednesday. Students of fashion technology designed jewellery items using wires, wool, beads, shells, wooden blocks, buttons, safety pins, etc to come up with necklaces, bracelets, earings, and broaches. “These types of contests help students explore their talents and give a practical bent to their creative skills,” said Manmeet Sodhia, Director of Ivanna IIFT. While Mukta Mahajan bagged the first prize, the second position was shared by Balwinder Kaur and Smiley Jethi. Ashmeet Kaur and Archana Thakur shared the third spot.

Police exam: Admit cards on May 12

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana Police Commisionerate will issue admit cards to women who have applied for the post of constables in Ludhiana Police cadre on May 12. DCP Yurinder Singh Hayer said that the women, who have submitted their documents to the commisionerate, can collect their admit cards from the Police Line between 9 am to 5 pm. Counselling session held at Drishti

Ludhiana: With a mission to convert wandering minds to wondering minds, Drishti Dr R C Jain Innovative Public School at Narangwal held a interactive session with students on how to be successful in life. Sucha Singh Bansal, an expert counsellor from Candid Counselling Service, participated in the meet and gave tips to the students on how to deal with time management, ambiguous target, adoption of chemical methods to enhance memory and so on.
