As many as 100 agencies dealing in silk products on Thursday threw their doors open for silk lovers here.
These agencies from 16 states are participating in a national-level exhibition-cum-sale of exquisite handloom silk products which is named, 'Silk Fab-2012'. The exhibition was inaugurated by Patna divisional commissioner K P Ramaiah here at the Planetarium.
Silk products drawn from some of the exotic interiors of the country are available to the buyers till February 22, including Sundays.
On individual basis, the participating agencies will be providing attractive discounts on dupattas, salwar suits, stoles, silk sarees, dress materials, furnishings and other products. Traditional handloom fabrics and silk products from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, MP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and other states are available in their respective stalls.
The exhibition, organized under the aegis of the development commissioner for handlooms, Union ministry of textiles, is open from 11 am to 8 pm. The products are being marketed directly to the customers.
