When you say “Engineering is not everything, creativity is equally important too!” you will hear a great deal of hooting from the participants of the fourth edition of “VIBES 360 Degrees”, a fashion event hosted by Dream Zone, School of Creative Studies in collaboration with the CADD centre at the NIFT campus to celebrate World designers' day. The occasion started with a fashion show competition in which students from various colleges were asked to show their designs on the ramp. The theme was party wear and we had students walking in uniquely adorned attire from elegant long gowns to ethnic anarkali suits and funky-hip dresses coupled with sparkly sleeves and trendily ripped leg warmers. Their artistic skill was not only seen in their clothing but also in their detailing with accessories and intricate stone and jewel work on their garments. The Beautiful Divas team from GSS Jain College bagged the ‘NexGen' title along with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. “This is my first fashion competition and I am very happy we won because it has given me great deal of confidence,” said Ashwini, participant, GSS Jain College.
