The Alibi is a British American pub. Here we don't just offer British staples, but American classics as well. Our goal is to bring the essence of a British pub, it's true heart and soul, to our home here in the nation's capital. Our food is hearty, fresh, inspired by family recipes and made from locally grown and sourced ingredients whenever possible. You can accompany your meal with British or local draft beers, an approachable, craft cocktail, or one of the owner's favorite wines. Most importantly, our staff is our family; a diverse group of professionals who are great to stop in and catch up with or get to know for the first time.

Here's what people say after redeeming their Nift gift.
The staff all aimed to please, the menu included some organic ingredients, the food was very flavorful, and the decorations were very fun.
They have good vegetarian options of traditional British meat dishes
Good food, reasonable prices. Great spot to eat before Nationals parade. Hoping my server made excellent tips Saturday, she was busy!!!
Great service! Note that much of food is fried. If you ask staff to reduce oil / fat options they will help out.
Cool spot hidden away but in the heart of the Capitol. Great homemade ginger soda and full menu of food that is not just “bar food” (but they have that too!)
the food was good and the service was very friendly. I'd definitely return if I'm near the area
Lovely service. Fun location. Good Manhattan. VERY basic food. (Dressing in plastic containers and such)
Food was great service was excellent. Definitely would go back
The Alibi was the perfect place for lunch on a nice day as they have a great patio. My Cobb salad was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Service was really friendly.
The alibi was okay. The pork sandwich was pretty good as well as the curry sauce. The scotch eggs on the other hand are overpriced. Worth another shot for sure.
Wonderful, welcoming & quirky atmosphere for any "alibi." British pub fare is delish, with super sized portion of simultaneously crispy and creamy fish sandwich. Bonus points for what was on the tele: Parts Unknown!
The customer service was great. I also enjoyed the atmosphere.
Good ambiance and great Service
