The Alibi is a British American pub. Here we don't just offer British staples, but American classics as well. Our goal is to bring the essence of a British pub, it's true heart and soul, to our home here in the nation's capital. Our food is hearty, fresh, inspired by family recipes and made from locally grown and sourced ingredients whenever possible. You can accompany your meal with British or local draft beers, an approachable, craft cocktail, or one of the owner's favorite wines. Most importantly, our staff is our family; a diverse group of professionals who are great to stop in and catch up with or get to know for the first time.

very delicious filling food
Warm and welcoming pub atmosphere, but unique beverage and cocktail options. English pub menu, but surprisingly with vegan and vegetarian options as well. Very cool!
The staff all aimed to please, the menu included some organic ingredients, the food was very flavorful, and the decorations were very fun.
They have good vegetarian options of traditional British meat dishes
Good food, reasonable prices. Great spot to eat before Nationals parade. Hoping my server made excellent tips Saturday, she was busy!!!
Great service! Note that much of food is fried. If you ask staff to reduce oil / fat options they will help out.
