Nift is disrupting performance marketing by utilizing gifts to deliver millions of new customers to ecommerce brands and local merchants every month, and we are actively hiring two data analysts to join our growing data science team. This data analyst position is an integral hire at Nift as data informs every company decision. As a crucial part of the team, you'll analyze trends and identify their root causes, and use statistical reasoning to help drive growth and inform key business decisions.

    Our investors are the same folks who invested in Fitbit, Warby Parker, Wayfair, and Twitter. Our data science team is a tight-knit group of subject matter experts with a passion for understanding the data, and curiosity around how to best utilize data. We work on a wide range of challenging problems - recommendation systems, product development, system monitoring, and business intelligence. (we have ongoing projects in all those fields currently).

    What you will do:

    • Define and track key performance indicators for products and services
    • Generate insights about how our audiences consume content on the platform to inform future product development and audience growth
    • Deliver A/B and multivariate experiments, design and automate reports, implement analytics tagging, master exploratory analysis, and insight, all in close collaboration with partners across the data team and business groups
    • Design, build and automate dashboards
    • Prepare presentations for prospective and existing partners, reviewing performance, and making suggestions for optimizations
    • Partner with engineers and UX designers on the end-to-end process of design, test implementation, and analysis
    • Document and communicate findings and insights to stakeholders

    What You Need:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong abilities in root cause analysis and identification
    • Strong statistical evaluation skills
    • Proficiency in programming in SQL, and Python or R
    • Ability to deliver on time
    • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science (Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., economics, computer science, statistics, physics, etc.) is preferred)
    • 2+ years of direct experience working in digital/mobile products
    • 1+ years of work experience implementing and reporting on business key performance indicators
    • Experience in applying multivariate statistics, including logistic regression modeling, to business problems
    • Experience with defining, implementing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate experiments. Experience with defining, implementing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate experiments. Experience in programming in Python or R
