Need a good excuse to explore Boston’s breweries, beer stores and restaurants? Today just so happens to be National Beer Lover’s Day. Here are the best spots, and Nift partners, near Boston to help you celebrate the day:

Craft Beer Cellar If you want to try new beers, you won’t be disappointed at Craft Beer Cellar which is home to an incredibly wide variety of brews from around the world. From obscure IPAs to local craft pale ales, Craft Beer Cellar will have something for everyone above the age of twenty-one. They recently expanded, too, with locations in Fenway, Belmont, Newton, Winchester, Braintree and Framingham. www.craftbeercellar.com 98 Van Ness St., Boston, MA

Hops Test Kitchen & Raw Bar A fantastic gem, Hops Test Kitchen & Raw Bar, is tucked into bustling Inman Square. This sister restaurant to the original Hops & Scotch in Brookline is a cozy space serving local craft beers and whiskies. The menu constantly changes but their truffle fries are to-die-for and their homemade pastas are consistently delicious. http://hopsnscotchbar.com 1248 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA

The Ginger Man A serious beer restaurant is a restaurant with seventy-five ales on tap. The Ginger Man is Boston’s newest spot for eclectic, local, and international beers. While the taps are always changing, you can expect everything from pilsners to sours to Imperial IPAs and beyond. Sit back on one of their couches, order yourself some poutine, pork belly sliders, or their homemade doughnuts and you’ll be in beer lovers’ paradise. http://gingerman-bos.com 148 State St., Boston, MA

Wine Gallery Their name may suggest “wine” but the Wine Gallery is also home to a great beer (and spirits) selection. They focus on locally-made brews, but also have a diverse variety of international beer. Plus, for those who don’t drink beer, you’ll find other beverages including spirits from all Massachusetts distilleries. The Wine Gallery has four convenient locations in Brookline, Kenmore Square, downtown Boston, and Lexington. http://winegalleryweb.com 516 Commonwealth Ave., Boston, MA

Olde Magoun’s Saloon Skip the beer store and head straight to Olde Magoun’s for a meal. They have over twenty-eight types of beer and a traditional American menu. Try their popular Death Wish burger, topped with spicy Sriracha mayo and wash it down with a beer or two. Olde Magoun’s is a fan favorite for watching games, but they’re also known for their trivia nights (every Tuesday!). www.magounssaloon.com 518 Medford St., Somerville, MA
