Guardado's serves up authentic, flavorful dishes from Spain and Latin America, in a casual and inviting atmosphere, in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland. Chef Nicolas Guardado and his wife Reyna opened Guardado's Restaurant in 2007. Guardado brought with him a wealth of experience, rising quickly through the ranks at local area tapas restaurant Jaleo to become a seasoned head chef. Now, he is infusing that knowledge into his own restaurant, as well as adding some popular Latin American entrees and some traditional dishes from his native Salvadorean background to Guardado's extensive menu. The menu ranges from robust entrees to tasty tapas to delectable desserts. Notable recommendations include Gambas al Ajillo, Papas Fritas, Pimientos del Piquillo, Tilapia y Camarones, and Paella Valenciana, to name only a few.

Good food and good service. Was a pleasant lunch!
It’s a family owned and operated restaurant and the food is very good.
I was quite impressed by this restaurant. It was off the beaten path with not too many customers at the time we went, which was great, and I really liked the ambiance from the decor & music. The hostess was warm and welcoming and our server, Carolina, was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and at reasonable prices. I look forward to returning.
Lamb chops were delicious! Very nice server too. Everything was great!
Great food and great service!
Huge margaritas and large portions for a good price.
We enjoyed the almost family atmosphere, the really good service, and the solid tasty cuisine. We already plan to head back.
Food was great. Service was great. Thursday night we lucked out to have live music, as well
Guardado's is a fantastic Spanish restaurant. Excellent drinks, a top-notch wine list, and the tapas are to die for! Do not pass up the gazpacho or the ceviche!
Everything was really good!
I loved the musical atmosphere and scallops- definitely a must-order. Service was great, this really is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that deserves more attention!
The food was great and service was fantastic!
Great tasting menu overall although not the most authentic Spanish/latin tapas place I have been to. Lomo de puerco dish wasn't all too exciting but really enjoyed their Ensalada de espinacas con camarones (amazingly fresh veggies) and Tortilla con chorizo (super delish with excellent Spanish sausage). Service was a-OK as other Bethesda & tapas restaurants have set a pretty high bar. Will be returning to take advantage of their happy hour specials!
Great food and service
