BOSTON – May 14, 2019 – Nift, the Boston-based startup that opened an office in BCS just over a year ago, and was recently awarded Best New Business in BCS, has just moved to a new office in BCS. The new 13,000-square-foot office is part of a 21-acre technology campus at 3011 Earl Rudder Freeway.

Nift fills local businesses with great customers through the use of neighborhood gifts, or “Nifts.” “We’re growing rapidly,” said CEO and founder Elery Pfeffer, “and we’re excited to be doing that in a community like BCS. We’re committed to building our team and our platform here in Texas.” Nift has firmly put down roots in the BCS community, and is hiring at the rate of one person per day. Nift plans to grow from their current 100 employees to 500 employees.

Construction of several new features are underway to modernize an office space which already boasts a pond, expansive grounds and a fire pit. Designed to accommodate flexible work styles, Nift’s new office makes it easy to take work outside, or work in one of many indoor spaces with natural light. Plans for a picnic area and a sand volleyball court are also in the works.

“I’m really excited to work in the new space, and see how much Nift grows in the BCS area over the next few years,” said Juan Rocha, a part-time employee who splits his time between his internship, training for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and studies at TAMU. Nift’s internships, alongside their full-time positions, are signaling to the community Nift’s investment in the prosperity of BCS.

Nift is already bringing together the businesses they work with and the community they’re in: by hosting frequent events to introduce Nift to businesses and community members, Nift is emphasizing community connections. “As Nift continues to partner with student organizations and employ current students, they are bringing the community of Bryan-College Station closer to Texas A&M students,” says intern Will Doty. “Nift has such a cool mission, helping small businesses succeed. As a TAMU student and member of One Army, Nift supports my work and my personal goals,” he adds.

“When I first heard about Nift,” says intern Annie Sharp, “I knew it was something I wanted to get involved with. I own a small business on the side, so it’s been great to see fellow small businesses grow because of Nift. I know we are making positive changes in communities and small, local businesses around the U.S"
